Beverage Services
Darby House holds a liquor license, and all alcohol must be purchased and served by authorized Darby House staff. We offer Open Bar packages and a variety of customized enhancements allowing you flexibility in designing your perfect beverage service.

Open Bar at Darby House
Open Bars are great when you have a drinking crowd! Instead of running a bar tab for the evening, this allows you to pay a flat price per person for beverage service for 4.5 hours. PLUS, you know what the bar bill looks like ahead of time so you can budget for it along the way!
Open Bars are priced per all adult guests over 21 years. For guests 3-20 years of age, our non-alcoholic package would apply.

NOTE: As a responsible liquor provider Darby House will offer pre-wedding alcohol service for a maximum of 2 hours before guest arrival.

We’re happy to purchase bar items outside of what we typically stock in our packages such as Craft Beers or White Claw. Just send us your requests and we’ll work on the best way to incorporate these into your bar service.

Bar FAQs
A $1,500 minimum spend is required for any of our Bar services.
Darby House staffs 1 bartender per 75 guests, based on your final guest count.
Bartenders are $275 each and include bar setup/teardown and 4.5 hour bar service.
As a responsible liquor provider and for the safety of our guests, we do not permit shots or doubles to be poured at our facility. This includes Martinis, Manhattans, Old Fashioned or any liquor poured on the rocks, with a splash of water or neat. All cocktails must be single pours with a standard mixer.
All bar charges will incur 7.5% sales tax and 22% service charge. This 22% service charge is calculated on all beverage costs. It is not considered gratuity for bar staff. Service charge includes but is not limited to glassware, ice, beverage napkins, bar setups, prep, mixers, straws, stirrers and condiments.
Darby House must provide all alcohol through our liquor license. Client and guests are prohibited from bringing any alcohol onto the premises in accordance with the Ohio liquor permit owned by the Facility. If outside alcohol is brought onto Darby House premises, Darby House staff will confiscate from the client/guest and client will be charged a $350 penalty fee.
